My thesis project is a permanent supportive housing, designed for young females from low-income backgrounds, experiencing domestic and sexual violent traumas. By doing extensive research and exploring a variety of design choices and methods, I was able to convey effective elements and methods of interior design into a restorative residence for healing young females experiencing homelessnesses and trauma, the well beings of the residents will improve and will further facilitate healing process in order to transform, empower and renew their lives.
The end goal of my design is to help decrease generational cycles of poverty, violence against females, and also to inspire other types of restorative centers and facilities to apply effective elements of interior design in order to help further improve the experience of those habituating it.
